Being old childhood friends, the musical connection between JP Cutler and Adam Blomberg has years of intuitive color to draw upon. Their musical palette consists of an enduring history of friendship and a love of improvisation as a generative force in their composing. The original instrumental music created by this acoustic guitar duo is often developed within alternate tunings and intertwines rich chord arrangements with unique finger-picking stylings. In keeping true to the spirit of spontaneity, Adam and JP ask the participation of the audience to come up with the titles of their tunes. It is as if the duo provides the listener with a paint brush, an assortment of colors and a canvas, and the rest is up to the individual thoughts of the listener.

JP Cutler and Adam Blomberg released
their first EP of original compositions during the summer of 2005. This release "Improv District" stems from their deep and
long evolved musical past and from their favorite home receipe of improvisation, which has taken form as strongly woven works of
art.
California And The American Dream: We are proud to annouce that some of this newly recorded music as an instrumental duet was requested to support the four-part documentary
series California And The American Dream, which was aired nationally on PBS Thursdays, April 13-May 4 2006.
California And The American Dream tells the story of the "real" California, a state that is leading the nation in terms of innovation and solutions to the myriad of issues facing the country today. California is also a prime example of a post-industrial America in which minorities make up the majority of the population. In each episode, veteran filmmakers Jed Riffe, Paul Espinosa, Lyn Goldfarb and Emiko Omori offer an in-depth look at these issues and current trends from changing demographics to new models of civic engagement; from the role of immigrants in neighborhood life to the democratic challenge of the initiative process; and from sustainable agriculture to Native American gaming and sovereignty. Each one of the hour-long four independently-produced films stands alone. However as a series, the four episodes examine a complex and crucial set of issues California currently faces, as well as the country as a whole.

The duo is located in San Francisco. We have performed acoustic music for weddings and special events as well as venue performances. We love performing for friends, family and special occasions, so if you feel that our acoustic guitar duet can compliment your private event please let us know.
